Saturday, November 14, 2020 – 9:50am-11:30am
Please reserve this date to join our Virtual Annual Meeting. Each church is allowed a pastor and two voting delegates, plus one additional delegate for every 100+ church members. Our Annual Business Meeting will be conducted via Zoom for the purpose of complying with our Region bylaws. ABCVNH’s Executive Committee determined that this basic meeting would be best after conversation and learning from other ABC Regions who have held virtual meetings. Please register here and pray for our time together. While this will be a new way of conducting our Annual Gathering Business Meeting, we trust our God to guide us into the future, learning how to be the Body of Christ in a changing world.

The Church Chair at Waterville ValleyThis article was written by John Dunleavy about what is happening up at Waterville Valley with the help of Loon Mountain Ministry:
Over the last couple of years Waterville Valley has seen, what some might call, a “spiritual rebirth”. For quite some time WVV has been lacking, for the most part, any organized church services. Having no physical church, we have gotten by with an occasional service at Christmas time and then again around Easter. And it has been great when we were blessed with services surrounding such special holidays. We had good sized crowds and people gathered to give thanks, to praise God and to celebrate these most holy holidays. However, a couple of years ago, we in the valley were blessed to find a strong connection with the Loon Mountain Ministry (LMM). It started with wintertime Church Chair sponsored by the LMM and it was held outside of Sunnyside Lodge on the side of Mount Tecumseh. Skier could arrive early Sunday morning and attend church prior to starting their day skiing at WVV. Then summer came and there were a few small services held at a local golf course. Fast forward to the summer of 2020 and, in lieu of the COVID pandemic, a new service was offered. A “Church Chair” at the top of Snows Mountain. This summer there were 4 services, one in July, August, September and October, and it was wonderful! You would take a scenic chairlift ride to the top of Snows, be greeted by some wonderful friends of LMM, enjoy free coffee and a wonderful service was given by the good folks from LMM, all while overlooking the beautiful valley below. The response from our local community was great, we had 100+ people for each service. It has been estimated that about 10% of the attendees were local full-time residents. Another 25% were 2nd homeowners, another 25% from the surrounding areas and the other 40% - vacationers! A great mix of people attending Church in our valley. All summer the weather cooperated, people were happy to be there, we praised God, we sang, we made new friends and we all enjoyed a wonderful and fulfilling experience. It was a great summer, and all were very happy to have the opportunity to be preached the word of God in the valley. LMM has been very generous with their time and supporting ministering in our valley. In fact, there are several services planned for this coming winter. We are so thankful to have these services planned and we could not be happier to have LMM as a partner to minister in our valley. There has been a lot of interest and talk about WVV have our own church in the valley and, I can tell you, there are people working very hard to make that a reality. Details are still being work on but what I can tell you, is that it will almost certainly be named the “Waterville Valley Community Church”. We believe that with the grace of God, with the continued local work being done, with a strong community, and with the help of the good people of our community, a Waterville Valley Community Church will be in our near future. Several of our Region pastors in the Northwest Association put together a selection of Prayers for Unity which they wrote for this time leading up to our election and the following days. The link below should allow you to click to open these prayers. May they be a blessing to you and all you share them with and truly be a uniting power. |
